The hose burst valves are used to prevent uncontrolled descent of a load in case of hose failure. When it exceeds the setting (reaction flow), the valve blocks the flow. They should be mounted so that ‘Port C’ is connected t the cylinder and ‘Port V’ to the pressure line flow, it is recommended that the hose burst valve is used in conjunction with a flow control valve.
